Former actor Huang Yiliang hospitalised after alleged altercation at Circuit Road Hawker Centre

Huang Yiliang Dispute At Circuit Road Hawker Centre: What Happened?

Former actor-turned-hawker Huang Yiliang was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital by ambulance on May 10 following an alleged altercation at his stall, Old Fisherman, at Circuit Road Hawker Centre. The 64-year-old claimed he was struck on the right ear from behind by the husband of a neighbouring chicken rice stall owner. Police stated a 64-year-old man was assaulted by a 60-year-old man, who is assisting with investigations.

  • 🏥 Yiliang was discharged the same night “with painkillers and three days’ medical leave” after suffering pain in his ear and jaw with no bleeding.
  • 🎬 The dispute stems from allegations that the neighbouring stall owner’s wife had spread rumours about Yiliang having an improper relationship with his female assistant, which he denied.
  • 📱 A video of Yiliang arguing with the neighbouring stall owner, identified as Lihua, went viral last week, with Yiliang heard “hurling Hokkien expletives and calling Lihua a ‘chicken’, a derogatory term for a prostitute.”
